    Our Story: The Hole in the Wall Deli is owned by two brothers, Dino and Peter Maniatis. Dino currently resides in Madison with his wife and three boys. Peter currently resides in Orange with his wife and three daughters. The brothers, sons of Greek immigrants, were born and raised in Connecticut. They left Connecticut for a short while to study business at Boston University (Dino) and Boston College (Peter). Shortly after they returned to Connecticut, they purchased their first deli in New Haven. Their passion for food and hospitality, coupled with their family’s multi-generational recipes, are the inspirations for their success. If you enjoy great food and a friendly “Cheers”-like environment, then The Hole in the Wall is the place for you.

    The Hole in the Wall offers something for everyone. Our menu features made-from-scratch foods that are created with only the freshest ingredients. Our Signature Sandwiches range from vegetarian to meat lover’s delight. Our Salads are made-to-order and soups are made from recipes that are three generations old. In addition to our delicious in-house menu, we specialize in corporate catering.
